The house is beautifully furnished and decorated, but really it's all about the view. Large windows dominate the rooms and look out over the vineyards of the Luberon valley below, with the Luberon mountain opposite. It is a view one never tires of, always changing with the arc of the sun. High above the cares of the world, but just a two-minute stroll down the hill to the village life of Menerbes, this is an ideal year-round haven for nature lovers, food and wine lovers, and anyone who just loves Provence. Accommodation is for a maximum of 4 people, two in each bedroom, each with its own bathroom. There is seating for six in the dining and living rooms. Free, high-speed wireless internet means you can keep in touch with work or friends. |

About
the furnishings. This is not your usual holiday rental accommodation.
It used to be my home and the furniture and fittings reflect that. There
are beautiful old hand-painted tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms, and there
is even a Provence rarity - a waste disposal. There is a full list of furnishings
and equipment below.
As you can see from the pictures, the main floor of the house is a series of rooms that flow into each other, separated by arches. The main bedroom has a screen to separate it from the other rooms, a double bed, and an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. On the lower level, and completely private from the rest of the house, is the laundry room, second bedroom, en-suite bathroom with bath and overhead shower. In this bedroom you can have two single beds or bring them together to make a large double. |

The Luberon is that part of France you see when you day-dream about Provence on dark winter days. It's where artists came for the light, food-lovers come to indulge, nature lovers spend days walking around the protected natural park, and francophiles wander from hill-top village to hill-top village to experience the real Provence.
