These two splendid holiday homes are at the highest point of the hill-top village of Menerbes, officially one of 'The Most Beautiful Villages in France'. Menerbes is at the heart of the fabled Luberon valley. It is the village that inspired Peter Mayle to write A Year in Provence and is the perfect base for exploring the considerable charms of the Luberon and the rest of Provence. I have included in this site a lot of useful information about the area, in case you are not familiar with the Luberon and its hilltop villages of Gordes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Lourmarin, Roussillon and Menerbes. Provence accommodation for 1-6 These rental houses are independent, and beautifully furnished and decorated. As they are next door to each other, they could be booked together to house a party of five or six. Accommodation is of the highest standard - click through to see all the details and lots of pictures of both the houses and Provence. Rentals are booked direct from the owner (me!).

For larger groups, I can heartily recommend two nearby Menerbes villas with pools. The owners are friends who live here except in the summer months when they go travelling. Staying in their villas is like being at home (or better!) - these are definitely not your average holiday rental home.
Les
Gardies Les Gardies (left) is a gem of a villa with pool set on a hillside with terrific view over the vineyards to the Luberon valley mountain. It is one mile from Menerbes, and is right where Peter Mayle wrote 'A Year in Provence'. The bedrooms are air-conditioned, there are 2 acres of garden and patios for outside eating and lazing. Belvoir If you need a beautifully furnished villa with a garden big enough to include a small vineyard, and views of the famed village of Menerbes and the Luberon Mountain behind it....ask me about 'Belvoir' (right).
